Your tasks
- Development and maintenance of backend systems to control our access control solutions
- Design and implementation of APIs (e.g., REST) for integration with third-party systems
- Ensuring scalability, security and stability of our software solutions
- Collaboration with embedded developers and frontend developers to integrate hardware and software systems
- Analysis of customer requirements and translation into technical solutions
- Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers
Your profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience as a Java Software Engineer (min. 6 years)
- In-depth knowledge of the following technologies: Java EE, Maven, RESTful APIs/web services, Hibernate and SQL
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Angular, Spring Boot and related technologies are desirable
- Development experience on both Windows and Linux
- Experience with network protocols such as UDP, TCP, HTTPS, WebSockets and serial I/O
- Familiarity with security-relevant topics such as authentication (OAuth2, SAML) and encryption
- Tool knowledge: Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Eclipse and Jira
- Team spirit and willingness to take responsibility
- Very good German and good English skills

Your profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (University of Applied Sciences/University)
- Several years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer
- Good knowledge of the programming languages C, C++
- Development experience on both Windows and Linux (Yocto) or FreeRTOS
- Knowledge in the areas of processor architectures, cross-development and cross-debugging, package management, network technology and protocols
- Experience using the GNU (cross-)toolchain, Make, Git, etc., as well as knowledge of common open-source licenses
- Experience with electronics design & PCB development
- Experience with the Eclipse development environment (GCC compiler) is an advantage
- Microprocessor knowledge (STM32, ESP32, nRF52) is an advantage
- Ability to take responsibility for your own goals and a development project
- Good command of English, spoken and written
